Media and Ministry Promotion Requests

We strive to be a collaborative communication source for young adult news. The larger our digital footprint becomes, the more complex communicating in efficient and healthy ways becomes. Here are our guidelines in external requests for the CYA St. Pete communication channels:

  • We are stewards of CYA St. Pete and as good stewards we prioritize the ministry’s endeavors.

  • We are a young adult ministry and will accommodate (within reason) to promote young adult ministry around the area.

  • We support our Diocese and it’s major events.

  • Every other recognized ministry is encouraged to post in the Facebook group “Catholic Young Adults of Tampa Bay”

We appreciate all who strive to build up the Kingdom of God and are thankful for your understanding.

What is Catholic Young AdultS of St. Petersburg?

Catholic Young Adults of St. Petersburg, or CYA St. Pete, is a regional ministry for Catholics in their 20’s and 30’s. We are a collaboration of four parishes in the heart of the city. Through this ministry we seek to foster community, prayer, and service.

How do I join?

Come to any of our posted events! There is no membership cost and no pre requisites to join. We have certain events to help welcome in new people but any young adult can come to any event at any time.

What kind of events do you offer?

Through the ministry there are a variety of opportunities to help you grow in your faith. We offer weekly Sunday Mass groups, monthly socials, quarterly Theology on Taps, and a yearly area wide day retreat. We are about to launch small group options as well as a reboot of our men’s and women’s groups. Check the calendar for up to date details.

When I come to a social, how can I find the group?

For each event we post in depth venue information on where we plan to be and best places to park. One or more of our ministry leaders are at each event and we have all of their photos on our “About Us” page. Sometimes we will also have a small yellow and white Vatican flag that we place somewhere as a low key sign for Catholics.

Who are these events meant for?

This ministry and these events are planned specifically for young adult Catholics in their 20’s and 30’s. Most of our participants fall in the 23 to 35 age range. We have single, married, and married with kids participants. Don’t be shy about coming and being a part of this awesome community!

Who leads this ministry?

CYA St. Pete is led by a leadership committee comprised of young adults from the collaborating parishes. Each team member focuses on different responsibilities to bring to life all the awesome events. This committee has been active and going since summer of 2018.
